Top Funnel.io Alternatives for Centralizing Marketing and Ad Spend Data
Compare marketing data tools by source coverage, destinations, data ownership, and a practical account-level proof of concept.

The right Funnel.io alternative is the tool that passes a proof of concept on your own accounts, fields and destination at a total cost you can sustain. A longer connector list doesn't settle it. Start by writing down your requirements, compare tools by approach, and then test two or three candidates on the same completed reporting period.
This is a selection framework, not a ranked performance test. Pricing, packaging, connector coverage and regional store support change often, so check them against the plan you would actually buy.
Start with your requirements
An alternative should solve a concrete reporting problem. Before you contact any vendor, write down:
- Sources: every ad account, analytics property and store you report on, for example Meta, TikTok, Snapchat, Google Ads, GA4, Salla or Zid.
- Fields: the exact metrics and breakdowns each report needs, not only account totals.
- Destination: dashboards inside the tool, Google Sheets, Looker Studio, Power BI or a warehouse such as BigQuery.
- History and refresh: how far back you need data, and how fresh it must be on reporting day.
- Ownership: who will maintain transformations, permissions and broken connections.
If most of your reporting happens in a dashboard rather than a warehouse, read our Funnel.io alternative comparison. It explains when a focused reporting workspace fits better than a broad data hub.
Compare approaches rather than promises
| Option | What to investigate | Proof to request |
|---|---|---|
| AKM | Connected reporting, AI analysis, available Data Hub datasets and BigQuery storage | Your account's schema, refresh history and destination configuration |
| Supermetrics | Spreadsheet, BI and warehouse delivery options | A transfer to your intended destination with the required fields |
| Fivetran | Managed extraction and transformation requirements | Supported source schema, sync behaviour and a usage estimate |
| Custom API pipeline | Control over extraction and modelling | Who owns it, plus monitoring, token renewal and a recovery plan |
Supermetrics supports data warehouses and cloud storage, so it should not be described as a spreadsheet-only tool. We compare it separately in our Supermetrics alternative page. Review the Fivetran connector documentation for source-specific details, and check Funnel's own documentation against the same requirements.
Score candidates the same way
Use one scorecard for every candidate so the result doesn't depend on whose demo looked best. The weights below are an illustrative starting point. Change them to match what matters most to your team.
| Criterion | Example weight | What a pass looks like |
|---|---|---|
| Required fields available | 30% | Every metric and breakdown in your top three reports, with none silently swapped for totals |
| Reconciles with source | 25% | One completed day matches Ads Manager within your agreed tolerance |
| Destination fit | 15% | Data lands where your team already reports, with stable column names |
| Refresh and error visibility | 15% | A visible last-refresh time and clear alerts for expired permissions |
| Total operating cost | 15% | A written quote for your accounts, data volume and support level |
Score each criterion from 0 to 2 (fails, partial, passes) and multiply by its weight. A tool that scores well overall but fails the required-fields test should still be ruled out.
Run a fair proof of concept
- Connect the same account and choose the same completed reporting period for every candidate.
- Request the same dimensions and metrics. Record any unsupported breakdowns rather than silently substituting totals.
- Compare spend and conversions with the source dashboard, matching currency, timezone and attribution settings.
- Re-run the period to test for duplicates and late revisions. Check how errors and expired permissions are reported.
- Measure refresh and dashboard loading at your real report size. Get a written quote for that workload and support level.
If a warehouse is part of the plan, our step-by-step guides show what a reliable load looks like for Salla to BigQuery and TikTok to BigQuery. Use the same acceptance checks for any vendor.
Keep attribution separate from extraction
A pipeline that moves campaign totals into a warehouse doesn't automatically identify which ad caused each sale. Attribution needs journey data, identity rules, consent and a documented model. Server-side events may improve event collection, but they don't eliminate every measurement gap.
For Salla or Zid stores, verify the exact supported entities and the destination path. A store connection and a warehouse export are separate capabilities, and both should be demonstrated. See the Salla connector and Zid connector pages for what AKM connects today.
An illustrative acceptance checklist
For a small pilot, you might require:
- a daily account-level report for each connected ad account
- a visible last-refresh timestamp on every dashboard
- stable row keys, so reloading a day doesn't create duplicates
- reconciliation against one completed day, in the account's currency and timezone
These are example requirements, not a claim about any vendor's service level.
Make the decision
Choose the candidate that passes your required checks at an acceptable total operating cost. Keep the scorecard, so you can re-test when your accounts or reports change. To see whether AKM fits, review AKM's integrations and pricing, then validate it with your own accounts before committing to a migration.
